Wales Funeral Videographer

Its been a while since I’ve written about any of the funerals I film and photograph as i’ve been so busy travelling all over the UK working with so many beautiful families.

A couple of days ago I was asked by Swansea university to film a Memorial Service at Argyle and Rhydding’s Park Presbyterian Church in Swansea, Wales on behalf the family of a student who had passed away. Wil was 21 Years of age and died just after running the Swansea half Marathon due to heart complications. His family are in Malaysia, so the film of his memorial service was captured as many of them were unable to travel across to the UK. More about his story can be found here on the BBC News Website.

Wil was a hugely inspiring, energetic young man. It was a real priviledge hearing all about his life and capturing these moments as friends and family paid tribute to his short yet amazing life.

Essex Funeral Videographer - Clacton-On-Sea

It was an absolute privilege to be down in Clacton-On-Sea, Essex filming on behalf of this lovely family. On the day me and my team covered both Video and photography for the family. I shared the funeral photos from the day a few weeks ago, which can be viewed here (Photos).

It was a beautiful cold but sunny day. so I made sure to get plenty of scenery shots to make the most of the location in the Film. Like all Funerals, we had multiple locations, time was tight, but we got some wonderful shots along the way. I know how important capturing the details and tributes were to the family so I’m absolutely thrilled with how the film has turned out.

Essex Funeral Videographer & Funeral Photography

It was a long journey to this beautiful part of the country for a Funeral in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. The family had asked us to cover both video and Photography for the whole day. This included the Hearse arriving at the Family Home, the Church service, the burial at Clacton Cemetery and the Wake. It was a really busy day for me and my team (Roshni & Dave) with all the different locations and often very little time to pull our equipment down and set up again, whilst making sure we captured everything on behalf of the family. Luckily the weather was on our side with nice blue sky’s which was especially good when we were outside for the Burial at Clacton Cemetery. So here are a few photos of the day, with the aim of giving you an idea for what we do. A huge thank you to the family for inviting us and making us feel so welcome on the day.

Today I travelled to St Alban and Stephen Catholic Church in St Albans, Hertfordshire to film a funeral. I started at the church where Father Jimmy led a nice traditional Catholic Ceremony. Soprano Julia White sung beautifully throughout whilst family led the readings and tributes. After the ceremony we travelled to Hatfield Road Cemetery for the graveside burial for the final blessings. It was so lovely working with this lovely family and thank you so much for using us to capture this day.

Bedfordshire Funeral Videographer - St Albans Woodland Burial Grounds

Bedfordshire Funeral Videographer

Yesterday I was out filming for a lovely family at St Albans Woodland Burial Grounds in Bedfordshire. This was my 3rd funeral of the week and it turned out to be a very windy day. To be honest I was a little worried about the strong winds as this was an outside burial in the woodlands. I got there nice and early and found the spot in the woodlands where the burial was taking place. Luckily it wasn’t as windy in the middle of the woodlands as it was a lot more sheltered, so that was good news for me.

i got some lovely establishing shots for the film of the natural surroundings before the family and hearse arrived. I was stunned with how beautiful, peaceful and magical St Albans Woodland Burial Grounds was. A stunning place to be laid to rest. I can see exactly why the family chose this place.

Watford Funeral Videographer - Buddhist Ceremony

Today I travelled to West Herts Crematorium in Watford to Film a Buddhist Sri Lankan Funeral. I filmed the arrival of the guests, the hearse as it approached the crematorium, pallbearers as they carried the coffin, the ceremony, family and friends as they paid their respects to Percy and everyone as they gathered outside afterwards before leaving for the wake.

The Buddhist monks added so much to the ceremony with their chanting sutras as they performed the traditional Buddhist rites.  Percy's family wore traditional white clothing and family members reflected on the way he lived his life and how he showed much kindness to others. He sounded like an amazing man.

It was an absolute privilege to be chosen to film this lovely ceremony on behalf of this beautiful family.
