Peterborough Crematorium Funeral Photography - R.I.P Baby Florian

Thank you so much to the family for allowing me to share these images of Baby Florian’s Memorial Service. With the aim of helping others who’s baby has similarly been born sleeping, understand how a day like this can be captured by a Funeral photographer.

This family had come across a BBC News article which I had been featured in. The article explored the idea of having a professional photographer capture a funeral, something which is becoming very popular. After some thought the family thought it would be a lovely idea to ask someone to capture their baby daughter’s Memorial Service and so contacted me to check for availability.

The ceremony took place at Peterborough Crematorium on a very cold, frosty but sunny morning. The family arrived and waited for the funeral Hearse to make its way to the Crematorium. It was a small intimate ceremony, with just 11 people. I worked really hard to stay discreet and making sure I didn’t disturb anything. The Funeral celebrant was brilliant and the ceremony he led was really touching. After the ceremony, the family went outside into the grounds to the Children’s Woodland Memorial Garden to lay some flowers which was really beautiful.

Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your day and thank you also for your kind comments of you
